Our Story
Luxe Leisure began one night when we were speaking about our life goals and dreams. We both had similar dreams to own a boutique and live out our passions. That evening we filed the paperwork for an LLC for Luxe Leisure. Not sure exactly what we were doing, we knew with hard work, passion and extreme dedication, we would find a way to pursue our dreams together and work for ourselves someday doing what we love.
Both working full time jobs with little to no additional money to fund our business, we invested what we had in our savings and the money we had been saving for a down payment on a home to purchase merchandise for our store after creating a business plan and finding brands to partner with for our new company.
September 1st, 2017 we were able to launch www.Luxe-Leisure.com. We had recently moved to South Boston and were storing the merchandise for our online store in our office/bedroom. The room where we spent countless nights building our own website, marketing and branding getting our business up and running.
We brought our website to life by doing pop up shopping experiences around Boston at private residences such as The Benjamin, 30 Dalton, Yotel and renting space in South Boston at 416 West Broadway for two full weekend pop up shops. We carried brands with little to no distribution in Boston and dreamed of having a physical store location where people could touch and feel the fabrics and familiarize themselves with the contemporary brands we were curating.
3 months later we decided that a brick and mortar store front is what was needed. We began searching for our home and found it right in our backyard at 553 East Broadway. We took over the space in January and opened our doors for weekends and appointment only as that was the only time in which we were not working our full-time day jobs. April came quickly, and we were finally able to bring on two amazing team members allowing us to open full time. We have been so happy in our space and so thankful to all who have graciously welcomed us in South Boston!
We hope to continue to be a part of the community and in addition to the Summer Series we hosted this summer, providing complimentary fitness classes such as, run clubs and beach yoga led by local influencers, juice & shop events we hope to expand our partnerships with even more local businesses to give back to a place in which we all call home.
